On Trump's Extreme Nationalism

 

Dear friends,

Our country as well as the entire world is changing with breathtaking speed. The changes that are taking place do not augur well for humanity as a whole.

In the midst of this grave pandemic crisis, we are witnessing the rise of extreme nationalism and war-mongering.

Look at Trump's America and Modi's India.

Trump's right-extremism has made a mess of the pandemic-hit America. It is now fanning the flames of racial hatred. Trump refuses to douse the fire of the just anger expressed by the majority of the black people against the horrible murder of George Floyd.

Instead he brands the entire movement as "terrorist." He wants the state governors to suppress it by force, and threatens to deploy the armed forces of the Federal Govt.

Trump's aim is to consolidate his power and ensure his re-election in November. He will go to any extent for this purpose.

One day he hides in his underground bunker in order to send a message that says the entire nation is in danger and the White House itself is under siege.

The next day, he goes to the nearby church, not to pray, not to share in the grief of the black people, and not to assure them of his support. His visit was accompanied by his threats about army deployment against "terrorists." "I am the Law and Order President," said he.

The church authorities are aghast.

"Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington said Monday evening that she is "outraged" after President Donald Trump visited her church without advance notice to share "a message antithetical to the teachings of Jesus."(cnn.com,2 June 2020)

 

DEAR FRIENDS, TRUMP IS IN DIRE NEED OF INTERNAL AS WELL AS EXTERNAL ENEMIES IN ORDER TO STRENGTHEN HIS STRANGLEHOLD ON HIS COUNTRY.(VERY MUCH LIKE HIS POLICE OFFICER'S STRANGLEHOLD ON FLOYD.)

INTERNALLY IT IS THE FAR-LEFT THAT IS THE ENEMY.

THE EXTERNAL ENEMY FOR TRUMP IS NOW IS CHINA.

HE WANTS TO WEAKEN CHINA NOT BECAUSE OF ANY DESIRE TO HELP THE PEOPLE OF THAT COUNTRY BUT TO CHECK ITS GROWING ECONOMIC CLOUT.

TRUMP IS CAREFUL TO NAME AND BLAME FAR-LEFT EXTREMISM ONLY WHILE IGNORING FAR-RIGHT EXTREMISM FOR CAUSING ANARCHY.

IT IS MOST REMARKABLE THAT THE SAME TACTICS AS IN THE USA, ARE BEING EMPLOYED IN INDIA TOO, IN ORDER TO STRENGTHEN THE REGIME OF MODI.

THIS CAN BE SEEN IN THE WAY SOME MAINSTREAM ENGLISH TV CHANNELS ARE SHAPING THE POLITICAL DISCOURSE. THEY ARE CONSTANTLY HARPING ON THE THEME OF A DANGEROUS CHINA IN ALLIANCE WITH MUSLIM PAKISTAN AND LEFTIST NEPAL.

OF COURSE CHINA AND ITS ALLIES ARE CULPABLE AND THERE IS NEED TO BE VIGILANT. BUT WHIPPING UP NATIONALIST FRENZY WILL BE DETRIMENTAL TO INDIA'S OVERALL INTERESTS. WE MUST NOT PLAY INTO THE HANDS OF TRUMP AND HIS HAWKISH ADVISERS. WE MUST HAVE OUR OWN PRIORITIES AND OUR OWN INDEPENDENT APPROACHES.

AT PRESENT, THE STAGE IS BEING SET BY EXTREME NATIONALIST NEWS CHANNEL ANCHORS FOR CONSTANT CHINA-BASHING, ANTI-PAK JINGOISM AND COVERT AND OVERT BLAMING OF MUSLIMS, AND LEFTISTS. EVEN THE CONGRESS AND ITS TOP LEADERS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE COLLUDING WITH THESE ANTI-NATIONAL FORCES.

AS AN EXAMPLE OF THE ABOVE-MENTIONED PLAN, A MOVEMENT LED BY ONE SONAM WANGCHUK IS BEING GIVEN WIDE PUBLICITY IN THE MEDIA. THIS MOVEMENT CALLS FOR A BOYCOTT OF CHINA-MADE GOODS AND SERVICES INCLUDING SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS LIKE TIKTOK. THIS ECONOMIC BOYCOTT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A PROOF OF YOUR PATRIOTISM AS IT WAS DURING THE BRITISH RULE.

THE AIM HERE IS TO PERSUADE CONSUMERS IN INDIA TO SWITCH OVER TO NON-CHINESE COMMODITIES MADE IN INDIA, AS FAR AS POSSIBLE, WHILE POLITICALLY STRENGTHENING EXTREMIST NATIONALISM.

I AM SURE THIS TYPE OF EXTREME NATIONALIST POLITICAL BEHAVIOUR WILL GAIN IN STRENGTH WHEN CONDITIONS IN OUR COUNTRY WORSEN DUE TO RISING CORONA VIRUS DEATHS, BREAKING DOWN OF THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM, INTENSIFYING OF MIGRANT MISERY AND GENERAL ECONOMIC DETERIORATION.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY FOR THOSE IN A POSITION TO UNDERSTAND TO WAKE UP AT ONCE AND TAKE THE LEAD.

OTHERWISE THERE WILL BE ONLY SPONTANEOUS MASS PROTESTS AGAINST THE MODI GOVERNMENT AND ITS ANTI-PEOPLE POLICIES. THE AMORPHOUSNESS OF SUCH A MOVEMENT OF PROTESTS WILL BE EXPLOITED BY FRINGE GROUPS OF BOTH THE LEFT AND THE RIGHT RESULTING IN MINDLESS VIOLENCE.

THIS WILL SUIT THE INTERESTS OF THE RULING ELITE WHO WILL UNLEASH WAVE AFTER WAVE OF REPRESSION IN THE NAME OF PROTECTING THE NATION AGAINST INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ENEMIES.
